A 16-year-old girl was one of three people bailed by police following a burglary at a house in Bessbrook during the early hours of this morning (Saturday).
Police say they had received a report of the burglary at a property in the Main Street area.
On obtaining a description of the culprits, police apprehended two men, aged 19 and 22, and a 16-year-old girl a short distance away in Orior Park.
All three were arrested and later released on bail pending further enquiries.
Speaking about this incident Chief Inspector Paul Reid said: “I would encourage anyone who has any information about crime, however insignificant they may think it is, to contact Police on the non-emergency number 101.
“Or, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
