Two thugs armed with a knife threatened staff at the Lidl store in Craigavon at tea-time yesterday (Monday).
Police tonight appealed for information following the attempted armed robbery on the Highfield Road.
Detective Constable Colin Robinson said said it happened at around 5.15pm when two males entered the supermarket.
He explained: “The two males had their heads covered and one of them had a knife in his possession. The male with the knife stood by the door while the second male demanded money from a till.
“The two males made off on foot empty handed.
“We would like to hear from anyone who has information which may assist our investigation. We can be contacted in Lurgan on 101, quoting ref: 894 080615.”
