Police in Lurgan are appealing for information following the report of the theft of an NI Railways fog signal from the railway track near Lurgan Railway Station sometime overnight (Sunday 24 August/Monday 25 August).
PSNI Inspector Patterson said: “Police are warning members of the public that this device is extremely dangerous, containing chemicals which may react violently if tampered with and could cause serious injury.
“Members of the public are warned not to touch this device and anyone who may be in possession of it or who knows of its whereabouts is asked to contact Police immediately on the non emergency 101. Or, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
