Two people arrested by police investigating an aggravated burglary at the home of a Bessbrook pensioner have been released on bail.
The 25-year-old woman and 26-year-old man were arrested in the Newry area yesterday, Friday, September 4, by Detectives from Reactive and Organised Crime.
The arrests were in connection with a violent aggravated burglary in Bessbrook on August 31.
The two have been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
Eugene Carr, who is in his seventies, sustained serious injury in the incident at his home in Clogharevan Park.
