Fire appliances from Warrenpoint and Newry stations were mobilised to a road traffic collision involving a car and a jeep on the Belfast Road outside Newry shortly before 7pm last night (Sunday).
Firefighters used hydraulic cutting equipment to release a 47 year old man from a car and he was transported to hospital by ambulance. The other two casualties from the jeep – a 46-year-old man and a 14-year-old girl – were also taken to hospital by ambulance.
Their conditions are not known at this time.
