Work is ongoing to clear the scene of an accident on the M1 motorway earlier this evening.
Shortly after 6pm, a transporter lorry shed its load.
Around 10 cars were scattered across the carriageway.
Police were forced to close the westbound lane of the M1 between Junction 11 and 12 as the operation got underway.
The transporter belonged to tJohnston Car Transport, Newtownstewart.
Two ambulances attended the scene but there were no reports of any injuries.
The lorry overturned at a bridge. It is understood that it is also being checked after being struck during the incident.
There has been major disruption in the area as a result of the incident.
The road remains closed as the operation continues.
