An elderly woman has died this evening after a two-vehicle road traffic collision on the Old Warrenpoint Road in Newry, police have confirmed.
A silver Renault Clio and a Red Ford Focus were involved.
It was reported to police shortly after 2pm.
The deceased was 78-year-old Phyllis Mackey, from the Newry area.
Two men and a woman were ferried to hospital with injuries not believed life-threatening.
Diversions had been put in place.
Police are appealing for to get in touch on the non-emergency number, 101.
