Freezing fog will fall across Northern Ireland as the mercury levels struggle to touch zero over the next 24 hours.
It will mean icy roads and treacherous driving conditions for motorists once again – as we saw this Monday morning.
The Met Office has issue an ice and fog yellow weather warning right through until 10am on Tuesday morning.
A Met Office spokesperson said: “Freezing fog is expected to become more extensive overnight and could produce significantly reduced visibility to 50-100 metres at times. This may also lead to some patchy ice forming on untreated surfaces.
“Although fog may be less widespread in Antrim and Down, a few showers are likely to move inland overnight leading to some icy stretches, particularly on untreated surfaces. Fog is expected to clear through Tuesday morning.”
Temperatures will peak at a solitary 1C around 1pm tomorrow before dipping again later in the afternoon, so thawing is unlikely.
Earlier today, ABC Council announced disruption to the bin collections as contents of bins were frozen stiff – an issue likely to affect residents for the remainder of the week.
And there was the inevitable disruption on the roads.

B Section were on patrol and came across this lorry which has shed it's load. A contributory factor was the road conditions.
