McCooey, (Née McConville)(Crossmaglen) October 25, 2023, (peacefully) at her residence, surrounded by her loving family, late of Lurganmore, Castleblayney, Co.Monaghan and formerly Crossmaglen, Co. Armagh. Gertie, predeceased by her parents Dermot and Annie McConville, brothers Patrick and Pearse.
House strictly private please, as by request. Gertie’s funeral cortège will travel from her home on Friday morning to arrive at The Commons Car Park, Castleblayney at 10:40am, proceeding on foot there after to arrive St Mary’s Church Castleblayney for funeral mass at 11am, followed by burial in adjoining cemetery.
Family flowers only please, donations if desired to Palliative Care.

Gertie, deeply regretted and remembered with love by her heart broken family, husband Eugene, sons Dermot and Arthur, daughters in-law Caitriona and Nicola, her six cherished grandchildren Aaron, Chloe, Niall, Caolán, Eloise and Kaitlyn, sister Lilly McCooey, brother Michael McConville, sisters in-law, brothers in-law, cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and many friends.
