Downey,(Newry), died September 28, 2020, (peacefully) at home. Formerly of 42 Hawthorn Hill, Newry. Stephen Snr, beloved father of Thomas, Stephen, John, Marie, Brendan, Brian, Liam, Eamon and Anita (New Zealand) and husband of the late Mamie Downey. R.I.P. May he rest in peace.
Due to the current Government regulations and guidelines, the Wake and Funeral will be Private to family and close friends.
Stephen’s remains are reposing at Tamnaharry House, 72 Derryleckagh Road, Burren, Newry BT34 3RD.
For those wishing to pay their respects at Stephen’s funeral, the cortege will arrive at the crossroads in Meigh at approximately 10.30am on Thursday 1st October morning and proceed to St Joseph’s Church, Meigh for Requiem Mass at 11.00am, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. Mass will be restricted to immediate family and close friends.
Deeply regretted by his sons, daughters, grandchildren, brother Jim, sister Gertie and his entire family circle.
