Today marks last chance to enter Armagh 5K International Road Race

The Armagh event is one of the top 5k races in the UK running calendar

Today marks your last opportunity to sign up for the Brooks Armagh 5K International Road Race, which takes place next month.

The race, on the flat and fast lapped course on the Mall in Armagh, takes place on Thursday, February 15.

And it will see runners from all over the world descend of the city for the blue-ribbon athletics event in the county.

Both the men’s and women’s races have famous for recruiting top class international fields and produce the fastest collection of times of any race across the UK Ireland.

Last year 80 runners finished under 15-minutes in the men’s 5k, with Ben Connor taking the title, ahead of American Brandon Doughty and Dewi Griffiths.

The programme consists of 13 race stages on The Mall 1000m circuit, creating an unforgettable spectacle complemented by the unique Georgian architecture of The Mall.

The slick running of the programme contributes to the excitement and atmosphere as runners of all ages and abilities speed around the mall in this series of 12 races.

The course is flat, fast and furious and the fields are deep, giving runners the chance to run personal best times.
