Armagh Adidas 10 Mile Road Race & 4 Mile Fun Challenge in association with Digby’s Restaurant, Killylea will take place on Sunday 13th October at 12noon at the Navan Centre.
Gerard Houlahan, Deputy Director of Recreation and Leisure commented: “The Council are grateful to Digby’s for their continued support for this event now in its 14th year.
“Each year we see serious runners undertaking personal challenges from across Ireland for the 10 mile while hundreds of local people across the City and District including community groups, schools, sports clubs and work colleagues all taking part to raise money for their own charity.
“Everyone who takes part in the event receives a tee-shirt, commemorative medal, plus a bottle of water which will be much appreciated by the competitors as they cross the finish line.”
Sponsor Michael Macklin, Digby’s Bar and Restaurant said: “We are delighted to be associated with the event at Navan as it helps bring individuals, clubs and families together in a fun and safe environment to challenge themselves for the prizes whilst raising much needed funds for charity.
“Commencing at 12noon, fun running families could certainly make a day of it, once finished by having dinner or other needed refreshments in our restaurant close by”.
Late entries will be taken between 10am-11am on Sunday 13th October with fees of £7 for the 4 Mile Fun Challenge and £20 for the 10 Mile.
