Armagh City will again have Holm Park advantage in their replayed fifth round Irish Cup clash against Ards.
It will take place on Tuesday evening, January 21, kicking off at 7.45pm.City will be hoping to put the tie to bed after last Saturday’s 2-2 draw with the Premier League outfit.
Armagh came from behind with goals from Matthew Hynds and Steven Murray to lead the match 2-1 – only to concede an equaliser in the 99th minute!
This will be City’s official ‘home cup’ match as Ards had to travel to Armagh at the weekend because Clandeboye Park – their sharing ground – was being used by host club Bangor.
The winners of the replay tie have the mothwatering propect of hosting Irish Cup holders Glentoran in the sixth round of the tournament at the start of February.
But, before that encounter, the Holm Park outfit have a top-of-the-table clash with the PSNI – at Newforge, Belfast, this Saturday, January 18, kicking-off at 2pm.
City will be missing several players through suspension for this vital match, including talented centre-back Dara Noonan, who was sent off after receiving two yellow cards against Ards.
