Joe Kerr appointed new manager of Armagh City FC

New boss has already enjoyed considerable success with Holm Park youth outfits

Joe Kerr is the new manager of Armagh City FC.

The new boss takes over the helm following the departure of Marty Rice.

The club made the announcement on Saturday morning.

Until recently Joe was a youth team coach at Holm Park and managed the U16 team to National League success in 2015.

He also was an impressive player on the field, having had a successful career in the Irish League with Cliftonville.

Armagh City FC, announcing the appointment, said: “He lives locally and is determined to take the club forward using as many local players as possible.

“The ACFC Committee would like to thank all those that applied and particularly those that came to interview.

“We are united in wishing Joe every success in the years ahead.”

Details of Joe’s backroom ream will be revealed in the not-too-distant future.
