A huge congratulations to Armagh’s Caroline O’Hanlon and Mairead Tennyson after scooping All Stars at last night’s glittering awards ceremony at the Citywest Hotel in Dublin.
What a year it has been for the seasoned skipper O’Hanlon.
The midfielder walker away with her third All Star, adding to those already won in 2006 and in 2012.
She was also later named the Senior Players’ Player of the Year. Earlier in the week Caroline was named the top Ladies Football Player in Ulster.
She had led Armagh to glory in the Tesco Homegrown National Football League Division 3 in May before the Orchard County stopped Monaghan from claiming their fifth consecutive provincial title.
Caroline’s team-mate, the stylish right corner back Mairead Tennyson, also collected her first All Star Award last night.
The TG4 Ladies All Star Awards saw 15 being presented, as well as Players Player titles for Senior, Intermediate and Junior.
The only other two of the 15 team awards to come to Ulster went to Down’s left corner forward Aileen Pyres, her first All Star, while it was two years in a row winning for Monaghan left half forward Cora Courtney.
Fermanagh’s Caroline Little was the Intermediate Players’ Player of the Year.
