Louth 0-11 Armagh 3-15
Armagh took a step closer to promotion with a handsome win over Louth at the Gaelic Grounds on Sunday afternoon.
The two points looked unlikely as early as the first minute when Aidan Forker was given his marching orders.
However, that incident only seemed to rally Kieran McGeeney’s men who raced into a 2-3 to 0-1 lead with Ciaran McKeever and Niall Rowland.
The numerical advantage was short-lived for the wee county when they were reduced to fourteen on ten minutes.
Armagh notched over seven of the opening eight points at the start of second half to effectively end the contest.
Jamie Clarke slotted home a late penalty to add a bit of gloss to the scoreline.
Armagh are third but just a point behind Louth and new leaders Tipperary.
