Armagh will compete in the top tier of a newly restructured Ulster Senior Hurling championship.
The Championship will take the form of a two-tier structure from next season onwards.
From 2016, Antrim, Derry, Armagh and Down will compete in the top tier, while Fermanagh, Donegal, Monaghan and Tyrone will be in tier two.
Cavan have opted out of the competition for now but could enter in the future.
Semi-finals and a final will be played in both tiers, with one county being relegated and another promoted.
Armagh open their Ulster campaign against Down with the winners playing either Antrim or Derry in the final.
The semi-final losers will meet in a play-off and the losing side will be relegated with the winners of the lower tier competition taking their place.
It is expected that the competition will be run off in July, however, this depends on All-Ireland competitions.
The new format will initially be brought in for a two-year trial period.
