Crossmaglen ‘1-14’ V Maghery ‘1-09’
CROSSMAGLEN continued on their quest for three in a row with a relatively straight-forward win over Maghery in the senior championship quarter-final.
The game was played under lights at the Morgan Athletic Grounds and it didn’t take too long before the All-Ireland champions stamped their authority on this game.
Less than 10 minutes were on the clock and Cross’ had racked up a score 1-04 without reply – the goal coming in the first minute of the game.
Maghery responded well and got a goal of their own before the break but never got closer than within three points.
In the end Crossmaglen ran out comfortable five point winners and progressed to the semi-final of the championship.
