Armagh ladies booked their place in the All-Ireland quarter final thanks to a dramatic late win over Mayo in the Athletic Grounds on Sunday.
Aimee Mackin’s penalty at the death secured a vital three points as the Orchard County secured their passage out of Group 1 with a 2-10 to 1-11 win.
The result mean neither Mayo or Laois can catch Armagh in the group with those two still to play each other.
The ladies join the men in their respective All-Ireland quarter-finals. Kieran McGeeney’s side will face Monaghan at Croke Park this coming weekend. Armagh ladies will find out their opponents following the conclusion of the group stages this coming Saturday.
