Armagh 1-21 Leitrim 0-12
Eight Nathan Curry points – seven from frees – helped Armagh to a comfortable victory over Leitrim in the opening round of the Nicky Rackard Cup in the Athletic Grounds on Sunday.
It was a result rarely – if ever – in doubt from the first whistle.
Middletown’s Marty Moan and Keady clubman Conor Corvan were instrumental in that early dominance and seven points without reply just before the break – led by Curry’s frees had the writing firmly on the wall.
Substitute Seán Toal made sure there was no improbable comeback with a second half goal.
Next up for Armagh is a trip to Donegal.
