Loughgiel’s clash with Middletown, which gets underway at 3.30pm, is part of a Casement Park double-header, with Portaferry taking on Swatragh, at 1.45pm, in the other semi-final.
Middletown were narrowly beaten in last year’s All-Ireland Intermediate final.
Therefore Loughgiel boss PJ O’Mullan insists his players will not underestimate the opposition.
However, the Shamrocks will be expected to win with the minimum of fuss.
Middletown have won the Armagh Senior Hurling Championship 11 times, and retained the title last month after a 0-13 to 0-12 win against Cuchulainns in the final.
Antrim outfit Loughgiel Shamrocks are currently the only club in Ulster to have won an All-Ireland Senior Club Hurling Championship, which they first claimed back in 1983.
They repeated the feat by defeating Offaly’s Coolderry by 4-13 to 0-17 last St Patrick’s Day.
