William Dunlop, the double Cookstown 100 supersport winner and man of the meeting, has today confirmed he will race his Tyco BMW S1000RR at the Tandragee 100 this weekend.
The son of the late great Robert Dunlop will race in the First Open and the Tandragee 100 Senior Open Race, alongside his CD/IC racing 600cc Yamaha in both Supersport 600 Race.
The North Armagh Motorcycle & Car Club Ltd has confirmed there have been hundreds of entries for the 2015 Around-A-Pound Tandragee 100 this Friday and Saturday, May 1 and 2.
Traynors Motorstore have returned as sponsor this year.
Sean Halliday, originally from Northern Ireland who now lives in San Diego, California, has also kindly donated the prize money for the Fastest Lap of the Day.
In addition to some of the stars you can expect to see at the Tandragee 100 National Road Races, such as Ryan Farquhar, Keith Amor, and Jamie Hamilton, entries also include a strong contingent of over 30 competitors from the Republic of Ireland including Micko Sweeney, James Kelly, Thomas Maxwell, Neil Lyons, Donal Curtin, David Lumsden, Richard McLoughlin, Aron Hatch, Brendan Merrigan, Kevin Fitzpatrick, Shane Egan, Seanie Smith, Damian Horan, Alan Bonner, Sean Leonard, Mick Jordan, Donnachadh Healy, Colin Bowles, Niall Power, Mark Shiels and Andy Farrell.
There is also plenty of interest from further afield such as Billy Redmayne and Chris McGahon from the Isle of Man, Dario Cecconi from Italy, Eric Goedhart from Dubai and Fabrice Faivre from France as well as more local\regulars Davy Morgan, Sam Dunlop, Sam Wilson, Seamus Elliott, Paul Robinson, Stephen ‘Cargo’ Carr, Denis Booth, Nigel Moore, Sarah Boyes and her Dad Stephen Boyes, Yvonne Montgomery, Ian Morrell, Freddie Stewart, Barry Davidson, Philip Shaw, Club Members Robert Cairns, Malcolm Love, William McElroy, Stephen Davison, Anthony McColgan, Gary Hutton and Joe Lockhart.
Programmes cost £10 and people are encouraged to give a £5 donation. Grandstands £ 2 Friday and £5 on Saturday. Car parks (some run by local church) are usually just a few pounds for the whole day.
Police in Armagh are also warning motorists of diversions and traffic delays around Tandragee over both days.
Roads around Tandragee will be closed from 3pm to 9.30pm tomorrow Friday, May 1, and from 10am to 7.30pm on Saturday, May 2.
Markethill Road and Armagh Road, Tandragee, will be closed and diversions will be in place.
Motorists are advised to allow more time for their journey or use alternative routes and spectators should use official car parks.
