A man has died following a crash involving a tractor and a car in Co Tyrone.
The collision happened in Beragh on Thursday evening, shortly before 8pm.
Emergency services responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision between a tractor and a car in the Curr Road area at approximately 7.55pm.
Inspector Scott Fallis said the road remains closed at this time.
A PSNI spokesperson said: “Our enquiries are ongoing and we would ask that anyone who was in the area at the time and saw anything, or who may have dashcam footage, contact the Collision Investigation Unit on 101, quoting reference 1731 of 27/10/22.”
Only last month was there another fatal collision on the same road.
SDLP West Tyrone MLA Daniel McCrossan, speaking at the time, said he was concerned by the “high number of deaths on the road in the area in recent weeks”.
Meanwhile, police have issued a general appeal for motorists to take extreme caution when travelling on the roads this morning, Friday October 28th, due to hazardous driving conditions.
There are a number of roads flooded and impassable. Please follow road signs, slow down and think about whether or not your journey is essential.
