Acknowledgement for the late Paddy Hughes (Armagh)

Hughes, Paddy.

Paddy’s wife Bernie, his son Mark (Nicola), his daughter Cathy and the wider family circle would like to express their sincere gratitude to all who sympathised with them on their recent loss of a beloved husband, father, brother, adoring granda (Euan and Abbie), uncle, cousin and friend.

We thank our extended family for the tremendous love and support they continue to give. To Paddy’s brothers, mother-in-law Margaret McArdle, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nephews and nieces, we will be forever grateful for your hospitality skills and support throughout, once again, you were a rock for us to lean upon.

Sincere gratitude to the emergency services and air ambulance staff for their tireless work, professionalism and compassion shown both to Paddy and ourselves.

We thank JJ Mc Ardle & Sons, Funeral Directors, for their attentiveness, compassion and professionalism in handling all the funeral arrangements.

To Paddy’s colleagues at M&S, Cordelia’s chippy and all who generously provided food at the wake, and to the Parklands Restaurant (Golf Club) for the funeral catering, a sincere thank you.

To Pauline Mc Donald and friends for the beautiful music and singing at the Funeral Mass, we thank you.

To Costcutter Cathedral Road staff and management for their kindness and generosity and to our neighbours, thank you.

A special thank you to Fr Barry for pastoral care, a great comfort to Paddy’s family.

The Hughes family circle are indebted to all who visited our home, gave Mass cards, posted condolences, attended the funeral and supported us at this sad time.

Thank you to all who donated to his chosen charity “Aoife’s Sensory Bus”.

Paddy’s months mind mass will be held on Wednesday December 27, at 7:30pm in St Malachy’s church Armagh.
