Acknowledgement for the late Paul Gibney (Craigavon)

Gibney, Paul.

The wife and family of the late Paul Gibney would like to express their sincere thanks and gratitude to those who sympathised with us on the loss of our husband, father, father-in-law and granda by attending the wake and the funeral, brought Mass and Sympathy cards, telephoned or posted online.

Sincere thanks to our neighbours, friends and local businesses who brought gifts of food and floral tributes, we thank those who gave a donation to Daisy Hill Renal Unit, your love and support have provided us with great comfort at this time of loss for our family.

We would also like to express our appreciation to Father Brian Fitzpatrick for his visits to the house and celebrating the Requiem Mass, and a special thanks to Deacon Gerry Heaney for his personal homily which captured Paul’s life in such a wonderful way.

Our thanks to Hannah for assisting with the Mass. To Mark Magee and Jonny Toman for the beautiful singing and music. We remain grateful to Jack and Margaret McLearnon for the respectful and professional way they dealt with the funeral.

Thanks to the Ashburn Hotel for catering, it was greatly appreciated. Finally our sincere thanks to the staff in Daisy Hill Hospital, to the Renal Ward for the care they provided to Paul over the years and to the medical staff in theatre for their kindness, compassion and support at a very difficult time for our family.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our sincere heartfelt gratitude.

The Holy Sacrifice of the Mas has been offered for your intentions.

“Our Lady of Knock pray for him.”

Paul’s Months Mind Mass will be celebrated in St Anthony’s Church Craigavon on Thursday May 9, at 9.30am.
