An Armagh city integrated primary school is asking for the community’s support to help improve pupils’ learning experiences with a haul of new technology.
The faculty at Saints & Scholars – based on the Killuney Park Road – have set their sights on a new class set of 128GB iPads with protective cases to assist with lessons.
The school had previously seen huge benefit in using the technology, but say their current iPads can now “no longer be updated” and many of the apps they enjoy using are also no longer accessible.
To help cover the sizeable £7,947 cost of new equipment, the school have opened a GoFundMe page.
Explaining the need for support, they said: “…within school budgets we simply cannot achieve this on our own. That’s why we’re reaching out to our families, friends, and wider community for support.
“Every donation, big or small, will make a real difference. Together, we can ensure our children have access to the latest technology, opening doors to creativity, collaboration, and modern learning. Thank you for helping us invest in their future.”
Last June, Saints & Scholars celebrated a successful 30 years in education and making a “meaningful difference in the lives of our students and help create a brighter future for our community”.
To mark the occasion they hosted two very successful fundraising events – ‘Saints & Scholars Goes Country’ and ‘Saints & Scholars Family Fun Night’ – which also raised money to support and enhance experiences for the students.
