A Caledon farmer has issued a warning to others after four of lambs were killed in a vicious dog attack on Sunday.
Mark Knox shared videos and images of the incident in question in a bid to stop a similar incident happening locally again.
The four lambs were were effectively slaughtered by the dogs in the Minterburn Road area.
“I have been troubled with them for the past two years relentlessly, however, today [Sunday] they made it clear what their intentions were,” Mark wrote.
“The owner was told they were wandering in scaring sheep last year and nothing was done; they’ve been seen by myself and neighbours in the field chasing them.
“Four perfectly healthy strong lamb died and ewes missing at their pure vicious act today and I cannot keep silent.”
Mark said police have been informed but says not much seems to have been done.
“If you have livestock in the Caledon/Minterburn Road area, be vigilant. Not only is it loss of money, more importantly it’s loss of life.”
“This post is not to cause ill feeling but to spread awareness, I would hate for another person to deal with this.”
