Motorists were greeted with the shocking sight of an overturned car as they approached Armagh from the Portadown direction this morning (Wednesday).
Fortunately, police confirmed that there were no injuries as a result of this single vehicle collision, just a few hundred yards from the city limit.
The car had collided with the embankment and was left sitting on its side. The car was removed this afternoon.
There were also no arrests made in connection with the incident.
A police spokesperson said: “We received a report of a single vehicle road traffic collision this morning, Wednesday at 6.10am, on the Portadown Road, Armagh. There were no reports of any injuries or road closures.”
Conditions on the roads remain treacherous this evening, with flooding prevalent around the county.
