Forget Mariah, because all Armagh’s kids want for Christmas is Willie’s latest charity book!

"My advice this Christmas is to always let the elderly know you care and old age doesn’t mean they have to slow down. Spend time with them and listen to their stories, ask them for advice, not only will you learn a lot, you will get to learn something new."

Forget Mariah Carey, because Armagh’s little ‘uns are sure to know what they want for Christmas…

And look no further, for charity champion Willie Nugent’s latest festive book is here.

Indeed, the books are already flying off the shelves at the moment and it looks like there will be a reprint meaning even more money for the worthy charities!

Featuring the next instalment in pet dog Maisie’s seasonal adventures, the annual Christmas book is something of a tradition.

And once again charities will be receiving the biggest gift of all!

The Armagh man’s new book is entitled ‘You’re Never Too Old For Santa’ and is in the shops now.

And with Christmas just around the corner, what better time to buy one!

Said Willie: “My story is about a wee dog who believes because she’s getting old she’s no longer needed.

“The story can also be related to elderly relatives, friends and neighbours.

“My advice this Christmas is to always let the elderly know you care and old age doesn’t mean they have to slow down. Spend time with them and listen to their stories, ask them for advice, not only will you learn a lot, you will get to learn something new.”

The books are a bargain at just £5 each.

And oncec again the entire proceeds will be divided between three charities – the Friends of the Cancer Centre at Belfast City Hospital, the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children and Guide Dogs for the Blind.

This is the fifth year Willie has written a Christmas book and so far each year they have sold out, so don’t leave it too late if you wish to have one!

Books can be bought from the following shops; Curran’s filling station, Dessie’s, T J Hawthorne, Pet World, Frances Hairdressers, Trimprint, Gazette shop, Armagh Blooms, Macaris, Raffles, and Ancient Grounds Coffee Shop at the Navan Centre.

Willie would like to thank his printer Trimprint, his illustrator Simon Goodway, and sponsor Nugent and Gibney Ltd for all their help in making this possible.
