A former chef has been given the chance to return to the trade after a judge handed him a fine for a deferred sentence.
Robert Wilson, 28, with an address of De Paul hostel, Dungannon, appeared at Armagh Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday facing a single charge of disorderly behaviour.
It was heard that sentencing had been deferred last year as the defendant was awaiting trial on another matter.
For that separate offence, Wilson had been sentenced to three months in prison in October, last year, and was released in early December.
The prosecution stated that since this current case had been deferred, the defendant had “made a nuisance of himself” with police being called to incidents involving him on June 1, June 8 and July 2, albeit with no conviction.
Defence Counsel told court Wilson intended on beginning a college on Monday to get back into his previous career as a chef.
District Judge Paul Copeland ordered the defendant to pay a fine of £250, along with the offender’s levy of £15 within 12 weeks
