Icy patches caused widespread disruption across Co Armagh this morning (Friday) and it looks like continuing again on Saturday.
The Met Office has issued another weather warning for ice – a second in just 24 hours. This time in takes in the whole of Northern Ireland.
And the warning comes into place from 5pm – just after sunset – until 10am on Saturday morning.
You can also expect to see some sleet and snow according to the Met Office’s chief forecaster.

A spokesperson said: “A band of rain, sleet and snow showers will move from the northwest to southeast across the yellow area through Friday, clearing during the early hours of Saturday, followed by further wintry showers.
“Icy patches are likely to form on untreated surfaces as temperatures fall. 1-2 cm snow may accumulate above about 200m by Saturday morning with with 2-5 cm possible above 300m.
Driving conditions on the Portadown Road heading out of Armagh, where the climbing lane starts, are treacherous. Drivers are urged to slow down and keep a safe distance between vehicles.

“Small amounts of snow are possible at low levels inland, mostly in the north.”
There were a number of road accidents in the Armagh area as a result of the conditions this morning and motorists are once again advised to exercise caution as not all roads will have been gritted.
It’s also worth noting that even the roads that have been gritted does not guarantee there will be no icy patches.
