More than 50 bands from every corner of Northern Ireland took to the streets of Armagh for the annual Cormeen Rising Sons of William St Patrick’s Day parade on Monday night.
Monaghan Auld Fife and Drum also made an appearance on the evening with bands coming from as far away as Knockloughrim (accordion) in Co Londonderry, north Fermanagh Young Defenders, as well as many Belfast bands well represented.
Making an appearance for the first time was Chambré Flute Band from Stewartstown.
Markethill Pipe Band choose the Cormeen parade to make their first outing in a number of years, with 12 pipers picking up the mantle – a positive sign of things to come.
All local bands made the effort to attend with many boasting increased numbers from the 2024 season.
With the mild night it brought thousands into the city to spectate.
