Livingstone Christmas Tractor Run to return for its eleventh year fundraising

Last year's run was a whopping success, raising the fantastic sum of  £153,415 for the three local charities

The Livingstone Christmas Tractor Run is set to return on December 30 to raise critical funds for three local charities.

A staple in the Co Armagh community calendar, the run is now in its eleventh year, and will be in aid of Air Ambulance NI, the Southern Area Hospice and the NI Children’s Hospice.

The event has grown massively since its inception, with over 750 tractors attending in recent years. To date it has raised an outstanding £891,626 for the nominated charities.

Last year’s run was a whopping success, raising the fantastic sum of  £153,415 for the three local charities.

It was started in 2012 by the Livingstone family to give something back to the Southern Area Hospice for the care they provided to Marina Livingstone in the final weeks of her life.

Starting from Armagh Business Park, the route will once again see tractors follow the Markethill Road to Gosford, take the Mullaghbrack Road to Hamiltonsbawn and then on to Richhill before returning to the Buisness Park via the Portadown Road.

It costs £15 to take part and all are invited to come along (tractor owner or not).

A large variety of tractors will be on display and the event will be followed by a raffle and a BBQ.

A spokesperson for the Livingstone Tractor Run commented: “A very big thank you to the hard working people behind the Livingstone Christmas Tractor Run who make the event happen every year.

“We would also like to thank every single person who attends and donates. Your continued support to the Livingstone family, committee, volunteers and charities is never taken for granted.”

For those who cannot make it but want to support the run, you can get in touch with any of the Livingstone family or organising committee or donate online via JustGiving.
