An alarm was sounding at an Armagh property for over a week, much to the frustration of residents in the area.
Armagh I popped over to Barrack Hill on Tuesday afternoon after one woman told us of the incessant noise. When we visited, the high-volume alarm could be heard at the junction with Georges Street.
The reporting person said the alarm has been sounding at the property, which appears to be the old office for Radius Housing, since last Tuesday (August 27).
The resident of the area, who has asked not to be named, contacted Radius Housing to deal with the issue, but says help has not been forthcoming.
They said: “Despite several phone calls they refuse to send someone out to disable the alarm, which has been sounding constantly since Tuesday.”
Instead, the resident was advised to log a noise pollution report with ABC Council.
Radius Housing has been contacted for comment.
As of Wednesday morning (September 4), the alarm appears to have been disabled.
