RESIDENTS of Alexander Avenue in Armagh who were evacuated from their homes during a security alert have been cleared to return, police have confirmed.
The bomb scare was sparked by the discovery of a suspicious object in the area on Friday morning and army experts attended the scene on Friday morning.
But a PSNI spokesman has confirmed that nothing out of the ordinary had been found.
The alert has now ended and the area, which had been sealed off for a time, has been reopened.
