Emergency services are at the scene of a serious road traffic collision on the A1.
Police say that both southbound lanes of the A1 are closed at the junction of Moss Road.
It happened on the section of carriageway between Loughbrickland and Newry.
A PSNI spokesperson said delays were expected.
Motorists should seek alternatives routes where possible.
There are no further details at present.
The collision comes just the day after a 75-year-old woman lost her life in a single vehicle crash on the A1 between Banbridge and Dromore.
