Police have confirmed jewellery was stolen during one of two house burglaries which happened on Tuesday.
Sometime between 1.30pm and 2pm, it was reported to police that entry gained to a house in the Cambric Court area of Dromore.
A quantity of jewellery was taken during the incident and a number of males are believed to have made off in a dark coloured Golf following the incident.
A short time later, it was reported to police that entry was gained to a house at the Rockmore area of Banbridge and a quantity of jewellery was believed to have been taken from the property.
It is believed that damage was caused to the front door of the property during the incident, with three males leaving the area in a dark coloured Golf following the incident.
A short time earlier, it was reported to police that a number of masked men were acting suspiciously at residential premises in the Ballymacormick Road area of Dromore. At this stage, it is unclear if anything was taken during the incident. The males are believed to have made off in a dark coloured Golf car.
Enquiries are continuing and at this stage, police are investigating a link between these incidents. The dark coloured Golf, which was seen in the area of all three incidents was last seen travelling along the A1 headed towards Newry.
A PSNI spokesperson said: “Police would appeal to anyone with any information in relation to either of these incidents are asked to contact detectives on 101 quoting reference number 997 06/07/21.
“We would also appeal to anyone with dashcam footage that was in either the Dromore or Banbridge areas between 1pm and 2pm , and saw a dark coloured Golf car travelling as this may be able to assist with our enquiries.
