Police in Banbridge have arrested three males following an attempted burglary on Huntly Road.
Police received a report of three males being disturbed as they attempted to gain entry to a shed on Huntly Road around 8pm on Tuesday, 24 November. The males made off.
Officers attended immediately and a Honda Accord car was stopped as police conducted searches of the local area. A 28-year-old man and 25-year-old man were arrested for going equipped and attempted burglary.
The car was seized by police and officers arrested a third man a short time later. The 23-year-old was also arrested for going equipped and attempted burglary.
The three are currently assisting police with their enquiries.
Chief Inspector Davy Beck said: “We have stated our commitment to keeping people safe in Banbridge and we have emphasised the importance of early reporting and vigilance from the public. This shows how successful we can be in tackling crime when we work together.”
