A minibus with the Armagh Council logo on it will be making its way to an orphanage in Razgrad in Bulgaria.
Armagh Lord Mayor Robert Turner told the last full sitting of the council that there had been three suitable minibuses for sale at Wilson’s Auction and a successful bid had been made for the best one.
He expressed his appreciation to Raymond Donnelly, who had organised a mechanic to scrutinise the vehicle and provide a full written report.
Cllr Turner informed all present that the vehicle would be going to Donnelly Bros for some paintwork and that the council’s logo would also be going on it.
He advised that there wasn’t sufficient money to fund the purchase of the vehicle but that would be dealt with at a later date.
