KEADY Sinn Fein Councillor Darren McNally has condemned recent incidents of vandalism and anti-social behaviour in the town.
He said there had been a number of incidents recently where windows had been smashed and the old community centre vandalised, and it was believed locally that a small number of young people had been involved in this “unacceptable behaviour”.
“Our youth service providers in Keady do excellent work and have a wide variety of activities and courses which are well attended,” said Mr McNally. “However, some young people continue to be involved in anti-social activity. This not only harms the community but, if caught, these young people could end up with criminal records which will impact on their chances of job opportunities and travel.
“I would appeal to the small number of young people involved not to jeopardise their own future prospects and to show some respect to their community.”
