A major retail unit in the heart of Portadown, county Armagh is to get a massive £700,000 investment.
Rogers Toymaster will relocate and expand from their current premises on Mandeville Street to the more central location on High Street – opposite the High Street Mall.
The new 30,000 sq ft store – a former Post Office – should be open in October.
Owner Jonathan Rogers said: “We have been trading from rented premises off the main thoroughfare in Portadown, and are delighted to acquire what is a very central property opposite High Street Mall, with the support of Ulster Bank, to enable us to develop and grow.”
“We have been in Portadown now for four years now and we have seen a steady increase in our business. Business has done really well for us and we feel now it’s time to bring it to the next level.”
The news comes less than a week after Dunnes Stores reversed its decision to quit the High Street Mall.
