A Craigavon man who grew £10,000 worth of cannabis in his home must wait until next month to learn his fate.
A district judge told the 63-year-old: “You are lucky that this isn’t in the Crown Court.”
Patrick Thomas Morgan, of Drumbeg, pleaded guilty to cultivating cannabis and possession of a Class B drug at Craigavon Magistrates’ Court on Friday.
Defence barrister Ciara Ennis stated: “This may be a case in which you will need a pre-sentence report as it is a substantial quantity.”
Prosecution informed the district judge that the drugs seized were estimated at being to the value of £10,000.
District Judge Peter King commented, “you are lucky that this isn’t in the Crown Court” as he ordered a pre-sentence report.
The case will return for sentencing on April 5.
