A man has been arrested and suspected illegal drugs seized following the search of a car in Craigavon.
At approximately 4.30pm on Tuesday, September 15, officers from the PSNI’s Organised Crime Branch searched a black Volkswagen car in the Drumbeg area.
Detective Inspector McCamley said: “As a result of this search, we seized suspected illegal drugs with an estimated value of approximately £650,000, along with other drugs related paraphernalia.
“The driver of the car, a man aged 29, was arrested on suspicion of a number of offences including possession of a class A controlled drug, possession of a class A drug with intent to supply, possession of a class B controlled drug and possession of a class C controlled drug.
“He remains in police custody at this time as our enquiries continue.
“Drug supply and misuse is a vicious cycle that we need to collectively break, and we all have a part to play. I would appeal to anyone with information about illegal drug use or supply, to call police on the non-emergency number 101.”
