A Co Armagh timber company is expected to create a number of new jobs if plans for a major new warehouse on site are given the thumbs-up.
According to Construction Information Services (CIS) Loughview Timber Solutions, based on the Kernan Road, Gilford, Craigavon, aims to construct the new warehouse.
It would see the company – which was founded in 2009 – benefit from the addition of over 1,200 sq metres of floorspace, giving a total in excess of 9,000 sq metres.
A planning application for the works has been submitted to Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council for consideration.
It indicates an expected increase of five new employees on site if the warehouse development is given the go-ahead.
Loughview Timber Solutions describes itself as a “progressive company”.
According to the company’s own website, it works closely with prestigious construction companies throughout Ireland and the UK, with a team of expert craftsmen providing clients with a complete overall joinery package.
Products range from timber external door sets, fire rated doors, staircases and windows, to all variations of internal door sets and screens.
The warehouse is earmarked for a site to the “rear of no 5 and between Nos 4 and 4B Kernan Road, Gilford, Craigavon”.
The proposals are now under consideration.
