A county Armagh man is believed to have died following a road crash in Australia.
The 28-year-old man, from Craigavon, died in a single-vehicle crash near Coolgardie, Western Australia, on Saturday afternoon.
The West Australian news reported that the man was a passenger in a blue Toyota Landcruiser wagon travelling on unsealed road surface south-west on Callian-Ora Banda Road around 3pm.
At the junction with Coolgardie North Road the driver of the vehicle failed to negotiate the bend and lost control.
The driver, a 24-year-old Kalgoorlie man, over corrected the vehicle which left the road surface and rolled several times, which came to rest on its roof.
The rear passenger, the 28 year old man was thrown from the vehicle and suffered life threatening injuries. He died at the scene.
The front seat passenger, a 24 year old Kalgoorlie man suffered minor injuries.
It is believed both passengers in the vehicle were not wearing their seatbelts at the time.
The driver who was wearing a seatbelt at the time suffered serious injuries. He was taken to Kalgoorlie Health Campus for medical treatment.
It is understood the man’s family in Northern Ireland have been notified.
Our thoughts are with the family and friends at this time.
