There have been a further four Covid-19 deaths in Northern Ireland.

The latest figures, released by the Department of Health on Saturday, show almost 50,000 tests have been carried out to date.

The number of positive results has reached 4,357, with the death toll standing at 473, however, these are separate to Nisra’s weekly statistics.

Three of the deaths happened in the last 24 hours.

Craigavon Area Hospital has now seen more than 1,000 patients discharged, with that figure sitting at 1,042 – the highest in Northern Ireland. Ninety-four patients are currently being treated there.

Northern Ireland is just about to begin the first step in a five step plan to ease lockdown measures.

On Monday, garden centres and recycling centres will be allowed to open.

The four main recycling centres in the borough will reopen on Monday at 12noon.

It comes after agreement by all parties and an announcement by the Northern Ireland Executive which preceded the first remote meeting of ABC Council on Monday night.

The five satellite sites within the borough, namely Keady, Markethill, Tandragee, Dromore and Rathfriland, will open within days.
