A Moira mum has who enjoyed a prize holiday in the Fermanagh lakelands with her children has described the experience as “amazing”.

Vicky Wylie, daughter Katie and son Noah enjoyed the all-expenses-paid break , worth £3,000, after winning a competition run by the ‘Cookstown’ food company.

The family was the first winner of the firm’s ‘Familytime’ campaign, aimed at rewarding customers and helping them spend time together after the past challenging 18 months of Covid.

During the action-packed holiday, the family took part in water sports everyday – and then relaxed in a hot tub to catch up on their experiences.

Vicky said: “We had an amazing time away. The pandemic has been hard for everyone, and it has been too difficult to holiday abroad with the various travel restrictions in place, so we’re hugely grateful to Cookstown for allowing us to enjoy a dream staycation together this summer.

“We were able to spend much-needed quality time together as a family. Everything ran so smoothly, and the woodland lodge we stayed at was absolutely stunning. We could have stayed on forever!”

As part of the Familytime campaign, Cookstown is partnering with a number of retailers to offer a range of other  prizes to families throughout Northern Ireland, ranging from glamping breaks to day passes.

Trevor Mounstephen, account manager at Cookstown, added: “The pandemic has been challenging for everyone, so we launched the Cookstown Familytime campaign to reward our loyal customers, providing a range of breaks and daytrips to give them an opportunity to relax, reconnect and enjoy family time as it should be.”
