A motorist has been banned from driving after a car, with a defective tyre, hit a speed of 99mph, Craigavon Magistrates’ Court was told.
Shane McCammon (20), of Leany Road near Aughnacloy, failed to appear at court on Friday despite previous adjournments. The case proceeded in his absence.
A prosecutor said a Honda Accord was detected doing 99mph on March 5 this year on the M1 motorway.
The defendant was banned from driving for two months and was fined £300.
