The case against a Co Armagh priest accused of voyeurism in Rushmere Shopping Centre in Craigavon has been delayed further.
Father Aidan Patrick McCann, with an address of Madden Row in Keady, faces the charge which stems from an alleged incident on March 28.
The 35-year-old did not appear in Craigavon Magistrates’ Court on Friday, however, a prosecuting solicitor said the Public Prosecution Service (PPS) were still waiting for the full file from the police.
The prosecution stated that the file had been “outstanding for quite some time”.
District Judge Greg McCourt ordered the investigating officer to attend court should the full file not be presented in the next two weeks.
Fr McCann, who was ordained as a priest in July 2015 and serves in the Armagh Diocese, is accused of voyeurism in that “for the purpose of sexual gratification, he observed a female doing a private act knowing that the outer person did not consent to being observed for your sexual gratification.”
While none of the facts have be opened in court to date, it is alleged the incident involves a female in a changing room at the shopping centre.
Judge McCourt adjourned the case until September 2 for an update.
