Lurgan man accused of attempted sexual communication with child has case adjourned

An earlier court was told the charge relates to the defendant allegedly being in touch with an 'undercover' police officer

A Craigavon man accused of attempting to have a ‘sexual communication’ with a child has had his case further adjourned.

James Lyons (40), of Moyraverty Gardens, is charged in relation to June 3-June 5 this year.

An earlier court was told the charge relates to the defendant allegedly being in touch with an “undercover” police officer.

The defendant is also charged with possessing cocaine on August 28 this year.

At Craigavon Magistrates’ Court on Friday the case was adjourned to January 16.
